Tulip 1 is a young, affectionate pup who's ready to blossom into her forever home! This sweet girl came to BARCS through animal control and has been thriving in foster care ever since. With her perfect mix of gentle snuggler and playful goofball, Tulip's the kind of dog who'll chase a rope toy in the yard one minute and curl up next to you for a nap the next.
She recently showed off her polite manners at a local block party, calmly enjoying the crowd and happily accepting treats once she settled in. She's also a great hiking buddy-confidently navigating trails, greeting passersby with curiosity, and easily redirected when she gets a little too excited to say hi.
Tulip is house-trained and respectful indoors-she hasn't chewed anything she shouldn't and is learning to love her crate with the help of treats and patience. She's making great progress on walks, especially with redirecting her attention when she gets fixated on other dogs. Though she hasn't been left alone in the crate yet, she's taking all the right steps.
This gentle girl is easy to handle (even if bath time isn't her favorite), and she accepts affection with grace. She's just lots of happy tail wags and wiggles, especially when you come home, even if you were only gone five minutes!
Tulip did well in a shelter play group and could potentially enjoy having a doggy sibling with the right introduction.
If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and slightly silly sidekick to join your adventures-or just to keep your couch warm-Tulip might be your perfect match. Ready to meet this sweetheart? Submit an application and email dogfosters@barcs.org to set up a meet and greet with Tulip 1 today!
