Arbor (affectionately known as Fifi or Fiona by her foster family) is a quiet, tender-hearted girl who's slowly discovering that the world can be kind and safe. Found as a stray and understandably overwhelmed at first, she's now thriving in a foster home where she's blossoming at her own steady pace. Arbor doesn't demand attention-she simply wants to be near her people, quietly curled up beside them on the couch or at their feet, offering a calm and comforting presence.

New experiences can be a bit scary for Arbor. She's cautious around doorways, thresholds, hallways, and stairs-as if unsure what's waiting on the other side. Loud noises like cars, nature sounds, or the television can startle her. But with gentle, consistent exposure, she's gaining confidence every day. She walks nicely on a leash now and has met other dogs with polite interest, warming up to canine companions at her own pace.

Arbor's favorite pastimes include snuggling up with plush toys, burrowing into blankets, and snoozing in cozy corners. She doesn't care much for fetch or high-energy games, but she adores comfort and softness. She's also a world-class snorer-loud enough to be heard on another floor! Light sleepers, take note: Arbor loves to sleep in bed with her people, and her snoring is part of her lovable charm.

House training is going great-Arbor is nearly 100% potty trained and gives a cute little hop when she needs to go outside. She's crate trained, tolerant of nail trims and brushing, and will even wear a coat or costume without fuss. She still collects household objects like a little magpie, gently relocating soft items for her own comfort.

Training is a slow but sweet process for Arbor. She's mastered "down" but isn't too motivated to learn more just yet. She prefers simply being near you over performing commands. However, one area to keep an eye on is door-dashing-Arbor is an open-door bolter, likely due to her threshold anxiety, so a secure entryway is ideal while she continues working on this behavior.

Arbor would do best in a quiet, patient home that celebrates small victories and values gentle companionship. She's not a flashy or energetic dog-she's a steady, soulful presence who brings calm and love just by being close. If you're someone who understands the beauty of a shy dog learning to trust, Arbor might just be your perfect match.
