Meet Nova, a 42-pound bundle of resilience, joy, and love. This petite tripod may be missing a leg, but you'd never guess it watching her zip around the backyard with total confidence. Her temporary foster says she regularly gets the zoomies and plays with abandon-she certainly doesn't let anything slow her down. Nova's spirit is unshakable, and her zest for life is completely contagious.

Nova is equal parts silly and sweet. She's known for her hilarious antics, especially when she's gleefully chewing toys or chasing her tail in circles. Her absolute favorite game is fetch-give her a ball and she's in heaven. After playtime, though, she's quick to settle into quiet cuddles. Once she's bonded with you, she'll melt into your side for movie nights or nap time, always happiest when she's close to her person.

Though a little shy at first, Nova warms up quickly. Her soft eyes and gentle lean say it all-once she trusts you, she gives you her whole heart. She has a sweet, calm energy in the house, and she's wonderfully respectful of her environment. She doesn't beg or chew on anything she shouldn't, and she's completely potty trained. Nova is also crate trained; she might cry briefly when left alone but settles down without fuss.

She's also surprisingly agile. Nova navigates the world on three legs with ease-hopping onto the couch, handling stairs like a pro, and enjoying her daily walks. She's doing well on leash and is a polite passenger in the car. Nova has met calm, respectful dogs and has done well with them, but her play style can be a little mouthy and exuberant, so any dog siblings should be equally tolerant and well-matched. We have not seen her interact with cats or kids, but her affectionate nature and gentle demeanor suggest she could adapt well with the right introductions.

Nova will thrive with an adopter who can match her playful spirit and give her daily activity-followed by lots of snuggles, of course. She's a great balance of fun and affection, a true cuddlebug who also loves to romp and play. She's at her happiest when she's engaged with her people, whether that means tossing a ball in the yard or simply lounging together on the couch.

Nova is ready to bring joy, snuggles, and a whole lot of tail-wagging happiness into her next chapter-could that be with you? Visit BARCS to meet Nova!
