Mason is an 8-year-old gentleman who has quickly captured the hearts of everyone he's met. After being surrendered to BARCS through no fault of his own, this lovable pup is now enjoying the comfort and quiet of a foster home where he's showing just how special he is. His foster lovingly calls him "Mace," and it's clear he thrives on companionship, comfort, and calm routines.
This handsome boy is the definition of a Velcro dog-he's always close by, laying near your feet or gently nudging in for some affection. Whether you're working from home or relaxing with a book, Mason is happiest when he's in your company. He doesn't ask for much-just a cozy spot on a blanket or the hardwood floor (his preferred surface!), some gentle pets, and a loving human nearby.
Mason's energy level is moderate. He enjoys getting up and stretching his legs, especially for a walk where he can take in all the neighborhood scents, but he's equally happy settling down for a long nap afterward. Walks are one of his favorite daily activities-he's a dedicated sniffer who may pause to investigate an interesting scent, but he walks well overall and is easy to leash up and head out with.
Inside the home, Mason is a mellow presence. He's house-trained and comfortable in a crate when left alone. He doesn't care much for dog beds, preferring to stretch out on a hardwood floor or snuggle into a soft blanket. His calm demeanor and love for lounging make him a great match for someone seeking a low-key but affectionate companion.
On walks, he's shown curiosity about other dogs and can sometimes pull when he sees one, but it's a curious interest. With proper introductions and the right match, he could potentially enjoy a doggie companion. He's also eligible to return to BARCS for social sessions to help him continue building those skills.
If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be near his person, Mason could be the perfect addition to your home. He's past the puppy chaos but still full of love, personality, and a little playful spirit.
