Comet is the kind of dog who makes every day feel a little warmer, a little cozier, and a lot more joyful. Since arriving in her foster home about a month ago, she's proven to be an affectionate, loyal companion who's happiest when she's close to her people. Whether she's curled up on the couch, lying at your feet, or snuggling in bed, Comet's number one priority is being near the ones she loves.

She's incredibly gentle and adores attention from older children-especially her foster's teenage daughter, who she showers with kisses and cuddles. Comet thrives on affection and will happily soak up every pet, belly rub, and ear scratch you offer. Her foster describes her as eager to please and tuned in to the people around her-she just wants to do the right thing and be your very best girl.

But don't let her cuddle bug side fool you-Comet also loves to play! She enjoys her daily walks, playing fetch outside, and going for car rides with the windows down and the breeze in her fur. When she gets the zoomies or tosses her squeaky toys around, it's impossible not to smile. She's the perfect mix of calm companion and playful pup.

In the home, Comet is incredibly well-behaved. She's fully house-trained, crate-trained, and listens well to commands. When her foster heads to work, she settles in her crate quietly, and when it's time to reunite, she greets her human with tail wags and happy excitement. She's easy to have around and makes everyday routines feel more joyful just by being part of them.

Comet has met other dogs and done well-she's friendly and playful but also respectful. She might bark when she sees strangers near the home or car, but it's just her way of looking out for her people. Once she knows someone, she's all love and tail wags. While she hasn't lived with very young children, she could be a great fit for a family with older, respectful kids.

Comet would thrive in just about any loving home-whether it's a family, a couple, or a solo adopter looking for a loyal shadow and best friend. She's ready to share her heart and her snuggles with someone who wants a devoted companion for life.

Want to meet this sweet, snuggly girl in person? Comet will be back at BARCS this Saturday to meet potential adopters. Submit an application and email dogfosters@barcs.org to learn more or schedule a meet-and-greet. Comet can't wait to love on you!
