Meet Lagunitas! This goofy, sweet 1.5-year-old girl is the perfect mix of playful spirit and snuggly sidekick. Found tied to a park bench, Lagunitas is now soaking up love and care in a foster home-and she's already proving to be a total gem.

Lagunitas is a true "Velcro dog" who wants nothing more than to be near her people. She loves cuddles, playtime, and hopping around with bursts of happy energy-but she also settles nicely once the fun winds down. Her foster describes her as "goofy and playful" with a gentle heart. She's still learning not to be mouthy when excited, but with some treats and guidance, she's picking up manners quickly.

She's crate trained, potty trained, and doing great with her leash walks-just a little pulling here and there, but nothing she can't master with a bit more practice. She spent seven quiet hours in her crate during the workday and even slept well overnight after a relaxing bath. Her foster says she responds well to structure and has already shown how eager she is to please.

Lagunitas has been respectful with the resident cat, giving her space and walking by without issue. She's also met her foster's Italian Greyhound and other dog through a baby gate and did wonderfully-social and calm. She may need slow introductions to new animal friends, but she has great potential for multi-pet homes. Kids? She hasn't met any yet in foster care, but her gentle, goofy nature suggests she'd enjoy a home full of love and play.

Lagunitas would love a home with people who are around often or can offer her consistency, love, and maybe a spot on the couch. She's a special pup who's been through a lot and is more than ready to give all her love to a family who sees how truly wonderful she is.

Lagunitas is currently in a foster home-if you're interested in meeting her, please complete an application and email dogfosters@barcs.org to be connected with her foster family!
