He has shown excellent housetraining habits at the shelter, keeping his kennel clean even through long nights. He's also a wonderful loose-leash walking companion, maintaining a comfortable, easygoing trot with his tail happily swaying from side to side. On a recent walk, Louie calmly passed a nearby cat and showed no reaction to a small dog. While those moments don't tell us everything about sharing a home with other pets, they were lovely examples of his calm manners out and about.
