Ing (Crush) came to BARCS at no fault of his own when his owner passed away. He was described as happy and friendly, wagging his tail when meeting new people. He is housebroken and can be crated. He enjoys playing, going on walks and snuggling. He is very good with children.
Crush had a peaceful overnight stay with a volunteer and proved to be a sweet, easygoing houseguest. He's housebroken and settled well in a home environment. While he tolerated the crate, he clearly prefers the couch or being near his people-and honestly, who can blame him?
Crush is a mellow older gentleman who enjoys lounging, short walks, and being wherever his humans are. He bonded quickly, following his person from room to room, and even curled up beside them during a nap. He's very food-motivated, especially loves wet food, and takes pills easily when hidden in meals. While he's not interested in toys, he's eager for pets, attention, and cozy hangouts on soft surfaces. He walks decently on leash-some pulling, mostly to sniff or greet other dogs, but overall manageable. He did show excitement at the sight of a squirrel and barked a bit, but had minimal reaction to other dogs in general.
Ing recently enjoyed a Dogs Day Out adventure, and he absolutely loved it! He spent the day exploring a park and grabbing a treat from McDonald's - and his volunteer buddy had nothing but praise. He was described as loving, well-behaved, food-motivated, and a great listener. Ing made a wonderful impression and was even called a perfect candidate for a family dog. Most memorably, he just wants to be close. He's the definition of a Velcro dog, happiest curled up next to you, quietly enjoying your company
Ing has met other dogs at the shelter, he can be a little tense at first but loosens up with time. He will need to meet any potential doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match.
Ing (Crush) is in the comfort of a foster home, please email dogfosters@barcs.org to be connected with his foster family.
