Basenji is new to BARCS, and we're still getting to know him-but so far, he's showing us that he's a sweet, curious pup with great potential! He has a wide smile and a happy go lucky attitude! He walks well on leash and keeps it moving at a good pace. Basenji enjoys his walks and especially loves to take in all the scents along the way-his nose stays busy! He seems to be food motivated too! He appears to be housebroken.
We'll be learning more about Basenji as he settles in, but if you're looking for a calm, curious companion, he might be the one for you.
Basenji has met other dogs at the shelter, he does best with tolerant and socially savvy friends. He will need to meet any potential doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match. He is eligible to come back to BARCS for social sessions.
