Cheerio is new to BARCS after arriving as a stray, but he's already showing us what a special pup he is. His finder shared that he was friendly and did well around children, and here at the shelter, he's been just as sweet. Though a little shy for leashing at first, Cheerio becomes a brave boy with some baby talk and treats-and once he's leashed, he's all smiles and walks confidently by your side. He appears to be housebroken here. Cheerio loves to hang out on a bench with you, soaking up pets and attention. He'll happily hop his front paws onto your lap, especially if treats are involved! He already knows "sit" and is eager to show off his good manners. He's a medium sized buddy at 42 pounds.
Cheerio has met other dogs at the shelter, he is a social and rowdy player.
Stay tuned as we learn more about this gentle, affectionate boy-but if you're looking for a loving friend who enjoys quiet moments and treats by your side, Cheerio might be the perfect match! Come down to BARCS and meet Cheerio.
