Just like her namesake, Pillsbury is soft, squishy, and overflowing with good vibes. This 3-year-old goofball has a personality as big as her blocky noggin, and she's been charming everyone she meets with her giant smile, wiggly butt, and signature "Pillsbury Plop" (yes, she will dramatically flop mid-walk to suggest a break or new direction-it's ridiculously cute). She's full of personality and joy, and she shares it generously with everyone lucky enough to meet her.
Pillsbury is enjoying a short stay in a foster home, where she's made herself right at home with her sweet and playful energy. She's curious about the world, loves to explore, and enjoys lounging nearby with a good chew toy after a walk. She's fully housebroken (not a single accident!) and settles into her crate just fine after a brief warm-up bark or two. She's independent enough to keep herself busy with a bone, but affectionate enough to always keep one eye on her human.
She also stole the show at a recent adoption event! Pillsbury greeted every new person with her trademark friendliness-tail wagging, smile wide, and eyes bright with joy. She was especially gentle and patient with children, calmly accepting pets and chin scritches while soaking up the attention. Whether she's meeting toddlers or adults, Pillsbury is a total sweetheart who makes everyone feel like a VIP.
On walks, Pillsbury is still working on her leash skills-she may pull a bit with excitement, especially when she sees other dogs or smells something new and exciting. But she's easily redirected and eager to please. She's met other pups at BARCS through baby gates and on walks, and always stays happy, wiggly, and social with wagging tails and soft eyes. She'd likely enjoy having a doggy playmate with the right introduction.
Though she's not a huge fan of hot dogs (go figure!), Pillsbury is powered by praise, chin rubs, and human connection. She'll plop her big head right into your lap with a satisfied sigh and hang out as long as you're willing to snuggle. She's also known to be a bit of a talker-letting you know when she's ready for love or a snack-but she's learning quickly that calm and polite behavior gets her what she wants even faster.
Pillsbury would thrive in a home that appreciates a goofy, loving sidekick who brings the fun wherever she goes. Whether it's playtime in the yard, exploring the neighborhood, or curling up for a movie night, she's always down for adventure-and a good nap afterward. She's a joyful, affectionate pup who's sure to keep you smiling and laughing every day.
