Kelby is a lovely 52-pound girl with a heart as big as her smile! She's the perfect mix of curious explorer and affectionate cuddlebug. On walks, Kelby enjoys sniffing along the trails and taking in all the sights-she's working on her leash skills and doing a great job, becoming a chill walking buddy once she settles in. She's easy to leash, appears to be housebroken at the shelter, and is wonderfully non-reactive to other dogs while out and about. Kelby loves treats-hot dogs are her favorite-and she's happy to show off her "sit" in exchange for one! She's also super affectionate, leaning into pets, soaking up butt scratches, and even giving gentle kisses of appreciation.
Pat the bench next to you and Kelby will happily hop up to sit beside you, smiling and ready for snuggles. She loves engaging with people and makes a wonderful, calm companion once she warms up.
Kelby does best with gentle and polite dog playmates, and she requests to meet any potential doggy siblings to be sure they are a good match.
