Soft, gentle, and a little bit silly-Sting is the perfect mix of tender soul and playful spirit. With his striking brindle coat and mesmerizing pale green eyes, he's as handsome as he is sweet. At 66 pounds, he's the perfect snuggly size, and he absolutely loves cuddling up with his favorite people.
Sting has a wonderful, low-key energy that makes him an easy, joyful companion. While he sometimes shows off his puppy-like, gangly run that will make you laugh, he's overall a calm, gentle boy who enjoys long, leisurely walks and being told he's a very good boy. He walks beautifully on leash - calm, gentle, and happy to take his time. He may get excited over a squirrel, but he does not pull hard and it is happy to turn his attention back to his walk. In the yard, Sting loves to entertain himself with a toy or soak up gentle affection from his human friends. He is always ready for snuggles and quiet moments together.
Currently, Sting is thriving in a temporary foster home where he's been a wonderful houseguest. He's quiet and respectful indoors, waits patiently to be invited into new spaces, and doesn't bark-even when guests arrive. Instead, he greets them with an excited "Who's that?" look. Sting loves lounging on the deck, enjoying the fresh air and watching the world go by. He's wonderfully polite-only chews on his toys, stays off furniture, and is fully housebroken. This smart boy learned "sit" in just five minutes and is so proud to show it off! He's now working on "look," "touch," and "down," and especially loves his food puzzles, games, and enrichment activities.
Out and about, Sting is the perfect café and shopping buddy-friendly, polite, and gentle. He's a good boy as he visits the different shops and cafés in his neighborhood, saying hi to all the people and politely accepting treats when offered. On a recent Dog's Day Out trip, he visited Boston Street shopping center, enjoyed a pup cup at Rita's, and charmed a family with kids (ages 9 and 13), even letting them dress him up in a silly hat!
Sting prefers gentle, easygoing dog friends-especially the girls-and may need to meet any future doggie siblings to make sure they're the right match.
