Cola came to BARCS through no fault of her own. Her previous family described her as calm, snuggly, and playful-she especially enjoys toys and quiet time. While she's currently a bit shy in the shelter environment, she's been spending time in a quiet staff office where she feels more at ease. Cola is a sensitive soul who needs time and patience to open up. When it's her turn to go outside, it may take some tasty treats and lots of encouraging baby talk to help her feel safe and ready to move. She's still working on building her confidence outside and can be easily startled.
Cola has met other dogs at the shelter and does best with gentle, polite companions. She can be easily overwhelmed, so she'll need to meet any potential dog roommates to ensure a good match. Cola is eligible to return to BARCS for social sessions to help her continue building positive experiences.
This sweet, soft-natured girl is looking for a calm and loving home where she can truly blossom.
Cola is in the comfort of a foster home, please email dogfosters@barcs.org to be connected with her foster family.
