Meet Virginia Woof - a caramel-coated cutie with a heart full of love and a gentle soul that's learning to feel safe in the world again. At around two years old, Virginia is the perfect mix of cuddly companion and playful pup. She came to BARCS as a stray, and while her past is unknown, it's clear she's eager to connect with people and find her place in a calm, loving home. Virginia can be nervous when meeting new people but once she warms up, Virginia becomes a loyal shadow, always wanting to be close, cuddle up, or gaze at you adoringly. She also enjoys time in the yard to just hang out on her own! She is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on leash, staying close and checking in often. Her leash manners are generally excellent, and she enjoys calm strolls where she can sniff and explore at her own pace. Virginia Woof is a sensitive, soulful girl who's ready to give her whole heart to the right person. She's come a long way already, and with time, patience, and love, she'll continue to blossom. If you're looking for a loyal, cuddly, and deeply devoted companion, she might just be your perfect match. Virginia currently lives with a senior dog friend and they are two peas in a pod. She enjoys the company of gentle and lowkey dog friends. Virginia would prefer a home with no kitty friends to chase though. To meet her or learn more, please complete an application and email dogfosters@barcs.org to be connected with her foster family.
