With one ear up and the other flopped just-so, Roxie's charming look is only the beginning of what makes her special. This 52-pound sweetheart is full of affection and personality-equal parts goofy, loyal, and smart. Whether she's trotting happily beside you on a walk or curling up for a cuddle on the couch, Roxie brings joy wherever she goes.
Roxie is a smart cookie who already knows "sit" and is eager to learn more. She's treat-motivated, loves showing off her obedience skills, and even enjoys a little agility practice for fun! She walks well on leash, has a calm, happy-go-lucky energy, and loves to keep her focus on you-especially if you call her with a kissy noise.
She's also a polite house guest. Roxie is fully house-trained and doesn't chew anything except her own toys and bones. In her foster home, she's been thriving-playing with her squeaky toys, enjoying zoomies, and soaking up all the love and snuggles she can get. She's the kind of dog who likes to be near her people and may let out a little whine if she feels left out-she simply loves being part of the family.
Roxie is good with cats and even chickens, and has done well with small dogs at the shelter. While she can be selective with other dogs, she's enjoyed chase and play once she's comfortable. She prefers calmer introductions and doesn't mind keeping to herself if the vibe isn't quite right.
Before going into foster care, Roxie spent the day with a volunteer on a "Dogs Day Out" adventure to Patapsco State Park, where she soaked up nature, devoured a pup cup, and charmed everyone she met. She's the perfect mix of chill and playful-a pup who's just as happy to lounge around as she is to explore.
If you're looking for a loyal, cuddly, and totally lovable companion, Roxie might just be your perfect match.
Roxie is currently in a foster home. To meet her, please email dogfosters@barcs.org to be connected with her foster family!
