Meet Sniffessor Snape! At 7 months old, this 24 lb male Labrador Retriever is a gentle young pup who is still building confidence in new situations. In playgroup, he entered the yard a little timid but allowed the other dogs to greet him and often chose to stay close to a familiar person for reassurance. When dogs approached, he would follow along with a loose, wiggly body and soft eyes before eventually returning to his safe spot nearby.
He has also spent time in a foster home, where he showed that he tends to prefer adults, did not mind being around cats, respected the other dogs in the home, and was making great progress with potty training. He may need a little time to fully open up, especially around other dogs, but he continues to show encouraging signs of curiosity and comfort. With patience, consistency, and a calm home environment, this sweet boy has plenty of potential to keep gaining confidence and settling into family life.
