Meet Chalupa! At just 4 months old, this 22.6 lb female Shepherd is a beautiful young pup who is doing her best to navigate shelter life while waiting for the chance to experience the world outside of it. She is a very sweet girl with so much potential, but the stress of the shelter is beginning to take a toll on her. Even through that stress, she continues to show us that she is trying, and with the right adopter, we believe she can truly blossom.
In playgroup, she tends to quietly hang around rather than actively engage with the other dogs, seeming more comfortable simply observing what is happening around her. She may need a little extra patience and reassurance as she settles into a new environment, but beneath that uncertainty is a young dog with plenty of time to learn, grow, and build confidence. She is looking for someone willing to give her the chance to decompress and discover just how good life can be outside the shelter.
