He has been diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and is on Methimazole 5mg 1/2 tablet twice a day by mouth. He will require blood work in 6 months (mid-September 2026) to review thyroid function and his response to medication. This is needed because of slightly elevated levels in spite of being on meds. However, this may be due to his being off meds for a short time recently.
