Twiggy is a nine-month-old, fourteen-pound Pittie/Chihuahua? mix with a big story and an even bigger heart. She came to us as a stray in rough shape - very underweight and carrying a belly full of worms - but she's proven to be a resilient little fighter every step of the way. At first glance, Twiggy looks like a tiny puppy, but those adult teeth tell us she's ready to leave her hard beginnings behind and start her real life. When Twiggy first arrived, she was bashful and unsure about human touch. With patience, gentle care, and lots of encouragement from staff, she has steadily come out of her shell and grows more confident each day. Watching her personality bloom has been incredibly rewarding. She's only about fourteen pounds and craves your praise. Twiggy also shines around other dogs and would love a canine companion to play with and learn from.
