Meet Cache! Cache is a Leopard Gecko; Leopard geckos are native to semi-arid desert environments in the Middle East and parts of Northern India. Unlike many gecko species, leopard geckos have functional eyelids. In fact, they can blink and even close their eyes while sleeping! Another fun fact about Cache is that he can use his tail to store fat and nutrients! He is also crepuscular (most active at dawn and dusk), so you'll often find him hiding under rocks or in his burrows.
Cache has a longer life span than many similar sized reptiles. It's not uncommon for leopard geckos like Cache to live 20 years in captivity.
