This sweet senior is Zoey! Zoey was transferred to us from a shelter downstate, so unfortunately we don't know much about her background, but it is clear that she lived in a home at some point. Zoey is clearly house trained and keeps her kennel immaculate, she also seems to know some basic commands as well.
While Zoey may be considered a senior, she is still full of spunk and loves to romp around the yard. She does seem to have some discomfort in her hips and this becomes more noticeable after she has been walking or playing, so we tend to keep her activity levels low. Zoey is happy to greet anyone that walks through our door and enjoys spending time in our front office greeting those that stop by. Zoey seems to do great with children of all ages, but would likely do best in a home where children can respect her space.
Zoey seems to do well with some of the male dogs here, but does not seem to care for the females. A home with a male dog friend or an only dog home would be ideal for her. We are unsure of how she would do with cats.
