This scruffy face belongs to Benji! Benji is a a terrier, possible Wire Haired Griffon mix that we believe is around 3 years old. Benji came to us as a transfer from downstate so we don't know much about his background. What we do know is that he is a gentle sweet boy who needs a family to call his own! Benji can be very nervous when meeting new people, but quickly warms up and loves scratches and kisses on the nose once he decides to trust. We believe he is house trained to some extent because he typically keeps his kennel quite clean, but we are unsure if he knows any commands. He is working diligently on leash training with our volunteers, but will need some time to really get the hang of it. Benji is very cautious of other dogs, but may do well in a home with other calm dogs that can help him build his confidence. We are unsure of how he would do with cats and small children.
