This beautiful lady is Freya!
Freya ended up at our shelter as an unclaimed stray. She is a mature female Catahoula Leopard Dog. The Catahoula is a breed known for herding and their undying loyalty, but they also need regular exercise. Though it can be hard to tell with strays, we believe that Freya is approximately six years old. She is very affectionate and athletic and even knows how to sit! She'll impress you with her blazing speed and smarts! Freya has beautiful soft hair that will likely require regular grooming. She enjoys going on walks and frolicking in the yard, so an active home where she can run and play all day would be best for her. Freya doesn't get along with all dogs and may not do well with cats. She can be a bit shy around strangers upon first meeting. But once she's warmed up to you, she'll be your best friend for life!
