Hello there, the name is Brady and I am a hound/lab mix who found my way to the shelter after being transferred from downstate. The early years of my life are pretty unknown, but I don't think I grew up in the best environment, and that has caused me to be fearful of lots of things. New people can be intimidating, and I struggle with making new people friends because of my nervousness. I'm afraid of doorways, walks and loud sounds, but I promise I'm trying to work on it and be brave. The world is pretty scary though, especially when you're all alone. Maybe you could be my emotional support human and we can try new things together and work on me becoming braver? I do well with other dogs, and having a dog friend really helps my confidence. I haven't totally figured out this whole playing thing, but I think a companion would really help get me out of my shell. I would likely do well with cats but young children may be a bit much for me.
