Aloha, future best friend! My name is Sasha, and I'm a 12-year-old hound mix with a heart as big as the Pacific Ocean. I'm currently living my best life at the Kauai Humane Society, but I'm really ready for my forever home! First off, I'm crate trained, so I promise I won't turn your home into my personal jungle gym. I would love to find a forever family with a fenced yard. I'm a laid-back lady with a love for everyone. I know my basic commands (sit, stay, paw...you get the idea) and walk like a champ on a leash. But here's the real kicker: I've been on some field trips around Kauai, and let me tell you, everyone raves about me. I'm basically the coolest dog on the island, with some serious Aloha spirit. Now, here's the part where you get to picture this: me, trotting beside you along the gorgeous beaches of Kauai, or strolling through charming little towns like we own the place. Adventure? Yes, please. I'm all about those hikes, playtime, and, of course, snuggles. I'll even be the perfect couch potato if you need someone to chill with while you watch the sunset. Oh, and don't worry if you're not on island-I'm totally open to flying to the mainland. I travel well and could totally be the co-pilot to your next great adventure. "I spent about three hours with Sasha. She was just featured on their page. She is a 12 1/2 year-old gal who is very sweet, the perfect size and just wants a family to love. Here are some of my favorite pictures I took yesterday. We spent our time in a park near the shelter facility and even though I couldn't give her the opportunity to socialize and be seen out and about, I have to believe that having some one on one time was beneficial to her.
