Hi, I'm Jiraiya, a 48-pound Terrier mix with a gentle heart that's just waiting to feel safe. I can be a little anxious and nervous when meeting new people or exploring new places, but I'm a very sweet boy who wants to trust. I love using my nose to investigate every inch of my surroundings, taking my time to make sure everything is okay. I feel much more comfortable when people get down on my level instead of approaching me from above, and once I realize I'm safe, I'll happily come over for affection. My favorite thing is getting butt scratches, and when you find just the right spot, my whole body wiggles with happiness! I'm looking for a patient family that will help build my confidence with kindness and reassurance. Underneath my shy exterior is a loving companion who wants nothing more than to be close to his people. I have all the potential to become your loyal little shadow, following you from room to room and soaking up every bit of love you have to offer. With time, patience, and a calm home where I can blossom at my own pace, I know I'll become the sweetest best friend you could ask for.
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
