Hi there! My name is Jess, and I'm a 40-pound Terrier mix with a sweet heart and a cautious soul. I can be a little anxious and unsure right now, especially in new places or with new people, but I promise I'm trying my best to be brave. I warm up much faster when someone takes things slow and gets down on my level - gentle voices and calm energy help me feel safe. I'm a total foodie and love using my nose to explore every little thing around me (I'd be amazing at treat puzzles!). Once I start feeling comfortable, my playful side starts to peek through - I even like to hop up and sit in the desk chair like it's my throne! What I really need is a patient, loving family who will let me bloom at my own pace. I'd love to go on adventures and explore the world with someone I trust - sniffing trails, trying new things, and gaining confidence along the way. With time, understanding, and encouragement, I know I'll grow into a happy, active, and loyal companion who's always ready for a new adventure... as long as we stop for snacks along the way!
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
