Hi, I'm Belle-a 49-pound mixed breed with a big love for fetch and an even bigger personality! If you've got a tennis ball, you've got my heart-I could chase it for hours and never get tired of the game. I'll even do the cutest little spin while I wait for you to throw it, and sometimes I like to grab the ball for a quick game of tug, complete with a playful growl. After I've had my fun, I'm happy to settle down and relax, enjoying some quiet time after burning off all that energy. I'm a sweet girl at my core, but I do have my boundaries and appreciate when people take the time to understand them. I can be a bit cautious when meeting new people and may not want pets right away, especially if I don't know you yet. I'm good at communicating how I feel and will let you know if I'm uncomfortable, so it's important to go slow and give me space to warm up. Once I trust you, though, I absolutely love a good butt scratch! I'm also a bit independent and enjoy doing my own thing from time to time. I'd do best in a home without small kids or other animals, and I'd really benefit from meeting my future family more than once so I can feel safe and build that connection. I may need some patience as I adjust to a new home, especially since I can get a little anxious when left alone, but with time, understanding, and lots of love, I'll be a loyal and fun companion.
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
