Hi, I'm Rio-a 39-pound Australian Kelpie mix with a heart full of love and a little bit of nervous energy that just needs the right person to help me feel safe. I can be a bit anxious and shy, especially in new places like the shelter, but once I start to feel comfortable, I become the biggest sweetheart! I love to snuggle close, give gentle hugs, and bury my face in your arms-it's my way of showing just how much I trust you. I'm very smart and need plenty of mental stimulation to keep me happy, and I'm also an active boy who's used to having lots of access to the outdoors. I'd love a home where I can stay busy with walks, playtime, and maybe even some fun training games, but once I've had my exercise, I'm all about those cuddles. I'm affectionate, loyal, and love to follow you around when I'm bored-just looking for a best friend who's ready to be my whole world.
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
