Hi there, I'm Baden, a 41-pound Miniature Australian Shepherd with a sweet soul and a gentle spirit. I'll be honest-I'm a bit shy and nervous when it comes to new places and new people. If you're standing and trying to approach me, I might keep my distance, but don't take it personally! I do so much better when you meet me on my level-literally! Just crouch down and give me a moment, and I'll come right over to say hello. Once I feel safe, I really enjoy butt scratches and calm affection. I've got a more independent personality and tend to do my own thing, like a wise older gentleman who's seen the world and likes a bit of peace and quiet. I'm carrying a few extra pounds and have some stiff hips, so gentle daily walks and light exercise would be really good for me. I also have a fluffy coat that needs regular grooming so I can stay comfortable and mat-free. What I'm really hoping for is a calm, patient home where I can settle in at my own pace. Loud environments or homes with young kids who don't quite understand boundaries might be a bit too much for me right now. I'd thrive with someone who respects my space and gives me the time I need to feel safe and loved. If you're looking for a quiet companion with a heart full of love just waiting to bloom, I could be your guy.
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
Happy Adopting!
