Hi, I'm Lucy, a 69-pound German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a big playful spirit, even if I'm a bit of a nervous girl at first. New situations and people make me anxious, so a quiet, patient home where I can settle in slowly would be perfect-but don't be fooled, because once I feel safe, I'm very active and absolutely love to play! I'm a wrestling pro and can get pretty mouthy during playtime, so a home without small children would be best for me. I'm used to having open space to roam, and I'd be thrilled to have long walks, time to chase toys, and lots of ear rubs. Audiobooks are my favorite, and I'll listen along while I relax. I'm still a little wary of grooming, so I'll need gentle help getting comfortable with it. And I'm not shy about letting you know when I'm curious or excited-I can be quite talkative! I'm a sweet, goofy girl who will lean into you for pets, lick your whole face, and try to jump right into your lap. With patience and love, I know I'll be the most loyal, silly companion!
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
