Hi, I'm Phoebe-a 63-pound Terrier mix with a heart full of love, even if I need a little extra time to show it. I get pretty nervous in new situations and around unfamiliar faces, so I really appreciate it when people go slow with me. If you talk to me in a gentle baby voice and offer me some tasty treats, I'll start to feel more at ease. It helps a lot when you get down on my level and let me come to you when I'm ready. Once I know you're safe, I'll melt into your arms with big, sloppy kisses and lean in for all the butt scratches I can get! Even though I'm cautious by nature, I have a playful side that shines when I'm feeling comfortable. I absolutely love to play fetch and I'll even bring the ball back-yep, I've got skills! I know my name and will perk right up when you call me, especially if I know you're someone I can trust. With patience, kindness, and a quiet space to feel secure, I know I'll blossom into your loyal best friend. I'm just looking for someone who understands that building trust takes time, but the reward is a deep and loving bond that's totally worth it.
My adoption fee of $90+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
