Hi, I'm Shammy-a 31-pound Australian Shepherd mix with a gentle heart, a curious spirit, and a love for the simple things in life. I'm a sweet and affectionate boy who absolutely loves to crawl into your lap for snuggles and lean in close, especially if there are butt scratches involved! I'm friendly and social with the people I've met, but as an older gentleman, I definitely prefer calm over chaos. I've got a pretty chill personality, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying my time outside-I love to explore, sniff around, and take in the world at my own pace. I can be independent when I'm in adventure mode, but I'm just as happy to hang out quietly and watch everything going on around me. I'm house trained, and I did well with the dog I lived with before-though I'd probably prefer a calm companion if I had to share my space. If you're looking for a laid-back, loving boy with a curious heart and a soft spot for cuddles, I might just be the perfect fit.
My adoption fee of $90+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
