Meet Naevia, a beautiful Siberian Husky who is just beginning to discover what it means to be a dog. Naevia came to us through Animal Law Enforcement alongside 12 other Huskies from an unsanitary living situation. With so much of the world still unfamiliar to her, she can be very shy and scared. She had never even walked on a leash before arriving at the shelter, so everyday experiences that many dogs take for granted are still brand-new adventures for this girl.
Naevia isn't looking for a home that expects her to blossom overnight. She needs a quiet, patient person with experience working with fearful dogs who understands that trust takes time and progress comes in little victories. With gentle guidance, consistency, and plenty of love, you can help Naevia learn that the world isn't such a scary place after all. If you have a soft spot for the shy ones and the patience to let her come out of her shell at her own pace, you could be the person who changes Naevia's world, one small step at a time.
**If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared** - bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open 10:30-5:30 pm.
