PennieFlowers is a wonderful girl who just wants to please. She is eager to learn and understands simple commands including a pretty good re-call. PennieFlowers was transferred to SimcoeDHumane while her 10 babies were about 11 hours old. We knew she was heartworm positive but once in care and medically tested we found she also had Microfilaria (baby hearworms). She has started the initial medications and preparing for some pretty serious meds to kill the heartworms. Until Heartworm is well-cleared, PennieFlowers must be kept at a very minimal movement and in cage rest.
