Hello! We'd like to introduce you to Harmony! She first came to us as a timid and shy stray, rolling over on her back and piddling whenever someone approached her. Since her arrival, Harmony has made a complete 180 and is now spunky and full of life! She's super friendly with everyone she meets and always eager for attention.
Harmony is the type of dog who wants to be by your side, ready to accompany you on all your adventures! She would thrive in an active household that can accommodate her energy needs. The staff at FMAR believes she'd make the perfect outdoor partner for hiking or camping. Her favorite activity is playing fetch in the yard-her face lights up when you pull out a tennis ball! Her focus is impeccable as she anticipates the throw and always brings the ball back, sitting patiently while she waits for the next throw.
While Harmony has shown little interest in playing with other dogs, she has done great on every pack walk she's been on. We believe she could potentially go home with another dog, provided there's a proper introduction and compatible personalities. However, she is fairly cat reactive, so we wouldn't recommend a home with cats. A home without children, or with children aged 9 and above, would suit her personality and energy level best. Harmony is also fully potty trained and always waits to go outside before doing her business.
If you're looking for a loving companion who's ready to share adventures and create lasting memories, Harmony is the perfect match! Come meet her today!

If you would like to meet Harmony, please submit an application for her on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. She is spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250, which covers all of the medical care she has received.
**Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.
