A zephyr is a word of Greek origin meaning a gentle breeze, so it's not surprising that our Zephyr is a social butterfly, flitting from person to person to say hello and get pets at every opportunity. She's also a very determined 2-year old, which has served her well since she arrived at the shelter with two broken legs after being hit by a car. Now her legs have healed and she's ready to move forward with her life and a family to call her own. According to her foster, Zephyr is a wonderful houseguest as she can be left alone and she doesn't get on furniture or bark much. She is crate trained and is learning basic commands. Zephyr has lived with both big and small dogs and has a spirited personality, so a meet and greet with resident pups is strongly encouraged. Given the typical Texas weather headed our way, wouldn't you like to come out to meet this sweet, gentle breeze of a girl?!
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org.
