Meet Liberty, a 9-month-old pup who traveled from Puerto Rico to Massachusetts with hope in her heart and a need for a gentle, understanding home. She is still very shy when it comes to meeting new people, and the world can feel a bit overwhelming for her. Liberty will need a family who is willing to give her space, patience, and time to adjust without pressure. Liberty is always at ease and happiest when she is with other dogs. Canine companions help her feel secure, and she loves to run, play, and simply exist alongside them. Other dogs are where she feels most confident, and she often takes her cues from them as she navigates her environment. Liberty is still learning some of the basics of being a family dog, including walking on a leash, and will need a patient adopter who is willing to help her learn these new skills. Because of her sensitive nature, Liberty would do best in a quiet home without young children, where she won't be overwhelmed by noise or too much activity. With patience, stability, and the comfort of another dog(s) by her side, Liberty has wonderful potential to continue growing into a more confident and secure companion.
