Meet Ranger, an 8-month-old pup who traveled from Puerto Rico to Massachusetts in hopes of finding a patient and understanding forever home. While he's made a big journey, he's still working on feeling comfortable around people. New humans can be very scary for Ranger, and he isn't quite ready to seek out affection just yet. He'll need a family willing to let him move at his own pace and celebrate the small victories along the way. Where Ranger truly shines is with other dogs. He absolutely loves having canine companions and gains so much confidence from them. Whether he's running around the yard, playing with his dog friends, or simply following their lead, another friendly, confident dog helps him feel safe and brings out his playful side. Because of this, Ranger is looking for a home with another dog who can continue showing him that the world isn't such a scary place.Ranger is still learning some of the basics of being a family dog, including walking on a leash, and will need a patient adopter who is willing to help him learn these new skills. Ranger would do best in a quiet home without young children, where he can settle in without the hustle and bustle of a busy household.
