Rescued From: Overcrowded shelter
After raising her puppies in an overcrowded shelter and keeping them happy and safe, this mama deserves a medal! Dorothy was a doting mama and gave her puppies everything they needed and more. Now that they are old enough to find families of their own, Dorothy is ready to start her life with a family that will dote on her just as much. Dorothy is very sweet and affectionate. She needs a little time to warm up in new situations, but who could blame her after everything she's been through? Her family had to surrender her to the shelter when they could not afford her care. Dorothy ended up being pregnant but thankfully was given a safe place to have and raise her puppies. While a shelter environment is not at all ideal, she was warm, fed, and given more attention than she would have received if she had been put out on the street. We are thankful she was given this opportunity, because now we get to find her (and her puppies!) a loving home! Dorothy is the perfect size to fit into many different family dynamics. She gets along with other dogs and even did well when she was introduced to cats. Who will offer Dorothy the love she deserves so she can understand there's no place like home?
All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.
