Earl is a charming senior boy who stole hearts after being rescued from a high-intake shelter after being abandoned. This lovable gentleman thrives on companionship and adores being wherever his human is. His enthusiasm for life is contagious, especially when he gets to shower his humans with kisses. Earl is a social butterfly who enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive with a medium-energy, medium-sized buddy, but could also be perfectly content as the center of his family's attention. Earl is a little bit goofy and a little bit lazy old man. He's got a playful spirit, but he also knows how to relax, happily napping in a pile of sneakers or enjoying a cozy spot on the couch. He's housebroken, nondestructive, and loves to go for walks. While he's got a big heart, Earl does have a strong prey drive, so he'll need a home without small animals. He loves toys, soft beds, and prefers to have his meals with the entire family around. Earl would do best with a family member around most of the time, as he craves connection but can manage alone during the day, if necessary. If you're looking for a snuggly friend who gives the best hugs and is always ready for an adventure (or a long nap), Earl is your guy!
