Meet Pudge - proof that the best things in life come in delightfully round packages.
Pudge is a 6 year old spayed female beagle with a heart as big as her waistline and enough personality to keep you laughing every single day. When her owner could no longer care for her, she found herself at a local shelter. We were happy to welcome her into our rescue, where it quickly became clear she needed more than just a new home. She arrived with a laundry list of medical issues, including a painful and badly infected bladder. After months of treatment, lots of TLC, and surgery to remove a heavy load of bladder stones, Pudge has officially been given a clean bill of health and is finally ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for.
Now let's talk about the important stuff...
Pudge snorts like a pig. She's built like a furry bowling ball. Her ears stick straight out to the sides and make her look like Yoda when she's begging. She believes all food is community property, and if you leave a snack unattended, she'll gladly "help" you finish it. Her nose is permanently set to detect critters, and she'll proudly announce every exciting scent with her signature raspy beagle howl. She's convinced bunnies are plotting something, and she's determined to investigate.
Despite all of her comedic quirks, Pudge is simply one of those dogs everyone falls in love with. She adores people, is wonderful with children, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and greets everyone she meets like they're an old friend. She's mostly a low-energy girl who's happiest waddling around the yard, supervising your daily activities, or curling up beside you for a nap-but every so often she gets a burst of beagle zoomies that will have you laughing out loud.
Pudge doesn't need an extravagant life. She just wants a family who will love her, appreciate her hilarious antics, forgive the occasional food theft, and remind her every day that she's finally home. In return, she'll provide endless entertainment, unconditional love, and enough snorts, snores, and beagle commentary to fill your house with laughter.
