Buster Brown is still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. This handsome herding breed mix has spent a lot of time surviving on his own, and now he's searching for someone willing to help guide him into his next chapter.
Before coming to the shelter, Buster was running loose around the county for quite some time. He avoided people, traps and any attempt to catch him. Then one day, after all that time on his own, he decided he was ready to trust. He walked up to a kind stranger and hopped right into their truck asking for help. ??
Since being here, Buster Brown has been slowly warming up to new people. He's not the type of dog that instantly loves everyone he meets-and that's okay. Herding breeds are intelligent, loyal and deeply connected to their people. Once Buster bonds with you, he bonds for life.
Buster is looking for:
·A home experienced with herding breeds
·No little kids
·Someone patient and understanding
·A person willing to help direct and build his confidence
In return, you'll get a dog that is incredibly tuned into his person. He loves hitting the trails, stretching his legs on a good run, and working for treats (he's VERY treat motivated!).
Buster Brown doesn't need perfection-he just needs the right person to believe in him.
