I came to ACS with several other cats after my owner passed away. We hadn't had much human interaction for nearly a year, so when I first arrived, I was overwhelmed and unsure... "spicy" is the perfect word for those early days!
But with patience, love, and lots of decompression, my true self started to shine. I'm goofy, affectionate, and full of personality. I absolutely love head and neck scratches, and the more I trust you, the more I lean into pets. I can still be very nervous around new people - unfamiliar faces make me hide right away - which is why I've been waiting a bit longer for the right home. But with people I know? I'm instantly at your feet, ready for chin scratches, pets, and a little attention in the spotlight.
One of my signature moves is gently grabbing your hand with my paw when you stop petting me - my polite (and hilarious) way of saying, "Excuse me... I wasn't done!" I'm also extremely playful with other cats, though I have a more dominant play style, so a foster-to-adopt trial is best for multi-cat homes. I could also do well with dogs, again tested through a foster-to-adopt, and older kids who understand cat boundaries would likely be okay too.
I'm a wand-toy fanatic and will happily bat around or pounce on anything that looks fun. Beneath my timid beginnings is a playful, charming boy who just wants a person he can trust and adore.
I'm neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, ready for my next chapter.
