People stop me on the street when they see me out and about because they say that I am so beautiful, and I am! It's me Melo, and besides having striking eyes and a few spots strategically placed to deliver the ultimate in cuteness when I walk, I am easy going once I get to know you, and rather sweet.
I am a little shy at first, but I easily warm up to people. I love going on walks and exploring the parks here in Sedona at the Humane Society. I love to stop and sniff the flowers. I not big on fetch but when I find a spot in the sun, I just relax and take it all in! The volunteers love hanging out with me and every day I get more excited about my future.
I am almost 5 years old, a pit/terrier mix, fully potty trained and when I am chill, I appear a bit older because I like taking life slowly. I am a medium sized guy at 45 pounds, and I am short and compact. I enjoy being pet and take treats delicately.
I am looking for a secure, safe and relaxing fur-ever home.
I will need someone who will take the time to help me grow and learn to trust again. A home where I am the only dog and a house with a fenced in yard would be a dream come true as I am not fond of other dogs in my space.
I had a hard start to life. I was found in Maricopa County as a stray that was under weight. I then found a wonderful family, but unfortunately their life circumstances changed, and they could no longer care for me. They brought me here to the Sedona Humane Society and now I'm looking to get a fresh start with a second loving, friendly family of my very own.
I have a PAWSitive attitude and I deserve the gift of life outside a shelter! Pit mixes are known for their friendly and loving nature because we are affectionate, eager to please, and trainable. We can have lots of fun together.
