Terracotta is coming out of her shell so quickly! She came to foster care a week ago as a sweetheart, but shy and lacking confidence. After just a week, she is catching on to the joys of "dog life." You'll find her prancing around the yard and accepting love from humans. She loves to play and explore like a puppy - but she sleeps through the night in her crate and is house-trained! Terracotta didn't have anyone to teach her commands before, so she's starting fresh. She's a fast learner and food-motivated, but she will need a family who will take time to train.
Terracotta has benefitted from having another dog in the home, but it is not a requirement. She definitely is "monkey see, monkey do" with her foster sibling, which has helped her gain confidence and learn routines. However, she would also be okay as an only dog.
Terracotta has done well with other dogs and enjoys initiating play. She also respectfully gives the senior dog space in her foster home. Terracotta did meet some cats and ignored them.
