Hello, I'm Ruth! I came to MaxFund recently after being transferred from another shelter a little further out. The folks at MaxFund are still getting to know me, but I'm already getting plenty of fans! One staff who adores me has this to say about me: "she's just a little old lady who loves cuddles!" I'm still coming out of my shell, so this isn't definitive, but so far I seem to feel a bit more comfy with women taking me in and out of my kennel. Fellas are welcome to give me treats, but a woman's touch makes it easier for me to come and go!
The shelter I came from had a lot of love for me. My nickname there was "princess" and even the vet staff were my friends! They had scary needles, but yummy treats, too, so we came to an understanding. They said I did very well with the other dogs around, and I have acted pretty calm in my kennel at MaxFund even as other dogs go by.
I'm an older gal, so I move a little slower than I did as a puppy, but I promise I have plenty of life left to live and love left to give! I hope you will give me a chance. I am currently waiting in line for a dental and a few other medical things, but you can still see me! Come down to the shelter to meet me and you'll fall in love with my gorgeous amber eyes and gentle demeanor. Please bring the other human and canine members of the family to make sure we all get along!
