Bubbles recently went on a doggy day out and here is what her volunteer had to say:
"On my doggy day out with Bubbles we got a pup cup, went on a long walk around the South Loop area, and got some couch time in my apartment. She was a delight!
I found her to be very intelligent and sweet. She is in tune with who she's with and even more so once you give her a chance to warm up. I got to see her personality really come through once she got to decompress in my apartment. There was a moment where I was bent down and she jumped up, licked my face, and put her paws on me almost as if she was saying thank you- my heart instantly melted!
She seems like she could walk for days! I took her on an hour walk in the South Loop area and after decompressing for a few hours she seemed ready to go around the block again. She pulls a little on the leash but nothing too crazy. She is non-reactive and doesn't mind other dogs on the walk even if they act excited. She may be interested enough to meet them but I didn't allow her since it's not permitted on doggy day out. She listened and didn't mind continuing on our walk. She also did well with city noises. She was so happy to be out and about!
She liked to jump and be a little playful but listened once you told her no. She had no accidents in my apartment and when I picked her up at the shelter, she immediately did her business once she got outside.
She was such a delight to have and get to know! I know she'll make a get companion for someone one day. She really does want to please you."
