Meet Louie! Louie is the answer to the question "what do you get if you mix a hound dog with Spiderman." Louie can scale walls with ease and is not allowed outside without supervision. Louie WILL HAVE to be leash walked and not left unattended outdoors in his forever home - even if you have a huge backyard and a 6 foot fence. What works in Louie's favor is the fact that he is incredibly dapper and has the cutest smile. Remember that as you work to set boundaries and teach Louie how to be a well-mannered inside dog as he's likely only ever lived outdoors. He will certainly need some help establishing a potty routine and may have the occasional accident along the way, but kennel staff will happily help you manage this. Louie is looking for a family with an active lifestyle. He loves going on long walks, and even runs, to stretch his hound legs and soak up all the great smells. Louie is heartworm positive, but luckily his treatment has been covered. So you only need to worry about the adoption fee and getting him through his treatment! This is a 6 month process, and most of the time he will have to be "crate rested/ bed rested," but no worries we will make sure to go over all the details and steps with you. Lastly, Louie does like to talk so no shared walls is preferred for this guy. Any canine residents in the home will need to have a meet and greet before approval!
